Manuel Murillo Toro

Manuel Murillo Toro (Chaparral, Colombia, 1 de enero de 1816 - † Bogotá, 26 de diciembre de 1880) fue un político y escritor colombiano. Dos veces Presidente de los Estados Unidos de Colombia a nombre del Partido Liberal.

Manuel Murillo Toro nació en la localidad de Chaparral el 1 de enero de 1816.
Enviado a Bogotá para estudiar la carrera de medicina, la dejó por el derecho, y durante sus estudios trabajó para Vicente Azuero y Lino de Pombo; obtuvo su título en 1836. A partir de 1837 se desempeñó como empleado del Congreso, y durante la Guerra de los Supremos (1840-1843) ejerció como asistente de varios líderes militares del Partido Liberal.

Sent to Bogota to study the career(race) of medicine, it(he,she) left her for the right, and during his(her,your) studies it(he,she) worked for Vicente Azuero and Lino de Pombo; it(he,she) obtained his(her,your) title(degree) in 1836. From 1837 it(he,she) got out of a jam itself as employee of the Congress, and during the War of the Supreme ones (1840-1843) he(she) practised as assistant(attendee) of several military leaders of the Liberal party.
